Alarm set for 4.00am on a Saturday Morning! Sunrise scheduled at 5.04am so I trecked over to the rickety wooden bridge crossing one of the many creeks in the North Essex Salt Marsh. Was still dark when I arrived & once the light started to filter through I was horrified to see huge amounts of cloud. I hung around until around 5.20am & then started to walk back as no sunrise had actually materialised & I was thinking, well that was a complete waste of an early start. However, lady luck was shining on me & almost at that instant a gap in the clouds appeared & the sun peaked through providing some up-lighting of the clouds as well as an amazing reflection on the still water. Perseverance certainly pays off !!
