This photo was taken at parents' house in Hurdle Mills, NC the same year we moved from Hillsborough, NC in 2012. I just walked out onto the front porch and snapped it. This is just a homegrown photo and no expensive traveling was required.Time
The photo was captured late evening just as the sun hovered over the distant horizon, melting into a bright tangerine glow. It was about ready say adieu to the day.Lighting
The lighting is just as natural as it could be and no filters were used. The sun is always and forever going to be the best light source here on Mother Earth. Nature makes for better lighting, I think, at times than artificial lighting found in a studio. It was just one of those things. The brilliant tangerine glow that came off the clouds even gave the ambient space that same warm glow. The air itself was just as orange even though you can't see it in this photograph.Equipment
Well, I'm a little embarrassed but this was nothing more than a quick shot taken with a cellphone. There was no special equipment used in the making of this. I literally just pointed up at the clouds and clicked.Inspiration
I love the setting sun for its many bright and beguiling colors. Even more so when the clouds help paint an even prettier picture. The bright orange glow actually caught my eye while I was in the living room at my parents' house. It was such an awesome sight I couldn't let that one moment elude me. So I rushed inside, snatched my cell, framed it, and took the picture. The beauty of nature is its own inspiration and you need but only look for it.Editing
Nope, this is all natural. The best kind of photography there ever was!In my camera bag
Well, I wouldn't call a purse a camera bag but since it does hold my cellphone... I guess it could be. It's normal stuff like keys, wallet, cellphone/camera, loose change, and the like. Sorry, nothing really special.Feedback
Just let nature do its own composing. It was one of those "in the moment" types of things when I captured this. You can't really replicate nature and no two sunsets will ever be the same. This was just a lucky shot at the right time and place. So if you love sunsets and don't have your regular camera with you with all its special settings and lenses, just remember sometimes even the simplest camera found in your pocket can capture the most beautiful of things.
