This is a really unique presentation if Venice. I've recently been there and took lots of more conventional shots, but I wouldn't have thought of this approach. The stucco buildings with the rough textures as shown on this column are really characteristic of the construction all over the place, so this really does capture that characteristic of the architecture and clearly places it in the Venetian location with the out-of-focus inclusion. Really a creative approach!
