Location
This photo was taken at the lake Zurich in Switzerland. The lake has two parts, this is the upper part. To the right would be Lachen, a small town. But it is hidden by the light fog.Time
The journey was starting at 5:39 AM. It was a cold morning, but that's not that unusual in february. The train ride was about 20 minutes and from the trainstation, it was taking me 1 hour to hit the spot, but that's mainly because I was taking pictures along the way. The picture was taken on the 6th of february 2016.Lighting
Like almost all of my pictures, mother nature was taking care of the light. I just love pictures in the early morning hours.Equipment
I was using a tripod for my Nikon D800, with my favorite 24-200mm f/2.8 lens attached. No other equipment was involved.Inspiration
Because my time was limited that day, I decided to look for a spot near by. There is a wooden bridge close to where I live. So I gave it a shot and got some good pictures, this is one of them. As inspiration to that spot where all the sun/mountain pictures I have seen so far, nothing in particular.Editing
The post-processing was straight forward. All corrections where done in Lightroom, there was really no magic involved. In my camera bag
Next to my Nikon D800 camera are my Nikon 24-70 mm and 70-200mm 2.8 lenses. Of course my wireless trigger is always in my bag.Feedback
My advice is, get up early in the morning. There is almost a magic feeling when the day starts and the animals start there day. Also you will, depending on the spot, meet a lot of early birds doing sport or taking pictures. They all say the same, seeing the world wake up gives you a wonderfull feeling. If it's not working right away, give it an other try ;).
