Milwaukee County Zoo

Time

This was a Saturday between 10:00 - 11:00 am.

Lighting

It was an overcast day in Milwaukee, WI. This was the first time they were that close to the window.

Equipment

I used a Rebel T6i with my 18mm-135mm lens. I did not use a flash or a tripod. I do use the image stabilization on my camera.

Inspiration

They were so close and carefully watching everyone as they approached. I do scrapbooking so that I can then show my children and grandchildren a year or so later. They are great remembrances. My grandson said that he thought the one was looking right at him.

Editing

I did not do any post-processing on this photo.

In my camera bag

My photography bag has several different lenses because I'm never sure what I am going to find that I want a photo of. I have a Canon Rebel T6i body. I have my 50mm just in case I want to do come macro shots. I also carry my 18-135mm, 55-250mm and 75-300mm lenses. No matter where I go or what I see, I can usually get a great shot. I have just added an Opteka 500mm lens with a 2X Teleconverter. I plan on using these during my trips to the Mississippi River to capture some eagle shots.

Feedback

I would only say to practice. ALOT! I may take hundreds of photos so that I can get several great photos.
