Location
This was taken in our home in our second living room which is home to our studioTime
It was mid afternoon. Due to light material to diffuse the light, we can shoot here at anytime of dayLighting
Not really. It speaks for itself. Just need that light material over window to diffuse the light or else it's very harshEquipment
This was shot with a canon 6d and 50mm 1.2LInspiration
Always had a fascination with portraits using window light. The contrasts, the shadows, the softness. It's beautiful.Editing
Yes I do. Just basic retouching to clean up skin, dodge and burn etc. Some colour toning and some texture for the wall backdrop. In my camera bag
It's pretty simple really. My 6d and a few lenses. I use my 85mm 1.2L for as much as I can but if I'm in a tight spot, I will use the 50mm. If there's movement involved, then I love my 70-200L 2.8Feedback
Probably finding that sweet spot where your model just meets the light. Too far forward and you lose some shadow, yet too far back and your model is hiding in the dark.
