Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken in my old driveway in Middletown Ohio.Time
This was a fun way to enjoy the mid day of an overcast summer day.Lighting
This was natural lighting on am overcast day. Probably my favorite conditions for naturally diffused light.Equipment
This was shot with a Nikon D90 with the stock lens, no tripod or flash of course.Inspiration
My Aunt is a great Pulitzer prize winning photographer who worked for the Des Moines Register at the time. She has always inspired me to do photography. We had done something similar the week before with my son's when I was visiting Iowa. My niece missed out so we did our own photo shoot when I got home.Editing
No major poat processing done to this. Maybe slight enhancement but no Photoshop to change the photo. What gives the fun effect is actually makeup. I did here face in colored eyeshadows and used an eyeliner to draw over it.In my camera bag
I have a nikon D90 that I call "old faithful" but I also use a Canon rebel T5 that I do like because it is a lighter camera. I also have a panasonic lumix fz70 that I use for astrophotography. I have a good variety off lenses for the nikon and canon, but the panasonic is a fixed lens camera.Feedback
My advice is natural light is what made this photo. Otherwise there is no rules, be bold with some fun makeup or hair or costumes and just have fun.
