My bad, I posted that I used my Canon T3 Rebel, when in fact I used my Nikon D3100 with my zoom lens. I just realized my mistake and wanted to comment the correct camera*****

Behind The Lens

Location

This image was taken in Metropolis Illinois at our fall annual Fort Massac Civil War Reenactment.

Time

This image was captured midday.

Lighting

All natural lighting, no flash used.

Equipment

I used a Nikon D3100 with my 200mm zoom lens, no flash, hand help.

Inspiration

I captured this image randomly, and just loved how it turned out. The look on this mans face made me giggle when I uploaded to the computer. I used the zoom feature due the fact that he was a little ways from me.

Editing

The only editing on this photo was the change to black and white tones.

In my camera bag

I don't usually carry a bag with me. It depends on what I am shooting as to rather I even take the bag out of the car. I do have a flash attachment and some colored filters. I just have not had enough experience with them yet.

Feedback

For me, I just like to randomly shoot. Non-staged images are my favorite. If I like they way something looks I shoot it. I can discard images that are out of focus or not pleasing to my eye after I upload them to my computer. I like to try different settings on my camera as well. Just have fun with your camera. After all that is why you bought it right??
