Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in the Kruger National Park -

Time

We were on our way back to camp after a long day in the park. It was early evening and these appeared - what a treat, we spent quite a while with them, watching them play and cuddle - AWESOME experience

Lighting

Lighting was a bit difficult as it was getting dark - and they were under trees and bushes, but the outcome was quite satifyling

Equipment

This was shot with a Canon 600D hand held, with a Sigma 150-500mm lens

Inspiration

Seeing these amazing animals is always exciting, to see 2 together was very special! Especially the amount of time we had with them, as they normally just a fleeting sighting... I was sooo excited I was shaking hehehe

Editing

I just adjusted the brightness and contrast slightly

In my camera bag

I always have to have an extra battery!!

Feedback

When in the bush always be prepared for the unexpected, know and study the bush and what is going on around you - this helps to find those special moments
