Location
The photo was taken from my balcony, the blue horn stands on the roof of the next building.Time
Sunset time is one of my favorite hours in the day to take photos. To be able to play with the exposure until you are satisfied with the result.Lighting
I wanted to catch the unique look of the blue horn while it check and look around.Equipment
At the moment I use the Canon 7 D and for this photo I used the Canon EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM lens. With nature I try not to use flash.Inspiration
As a photographer I am trying to be constantly aware to my surrounding. My camera always in reach and my eyes are hunting for the unique moment.Editing
I shoot in RAW and in this particular photo I wanted to put the emphasis on the yellow and orange of the bird and the sunset lightning. In my camera bag
I shoot with Canon 7 D and I have two lenses at the moment: Canon EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM & Canon EF24-70mm f/2.8L USM. I always carry extra batteries, CF memory cards, remote control for long exposure & wireless remote control. Although I try to avoid the use of flash, I have external flash from Canon as well. Tripod I carry with me only when needed. The last but very important is censor and lens cleaning tools.Feedback
As we live our day to day lives, we getting used to routines. My best advise is do not let routines to blind you. This photo was taken while at home & meaning for me is that as photographer you are always aware to your surrounding.
