Location
This photo was taken at the shore of Balaton (Hungary biggest lake) near Balatonfenyves where I was spending holiday with my family in 2015. It was a very special occasion as the last summer I spent together with my two brothers and my mother was more than decade ago.Time
I took the shot a little before sunset. The weather was still warm and people still enjoying the water at the beach however the lights are started to get the gold colour tint and the clouds became more dramatic on the sky.Lighting
All I used was the natural lighting which was in favour of the low angle sun and the reflection of the big open water surface.Equipment
I used my old smartphone to take this shot. It's an HTC One S with 8 MP F2.0 camera. I still pretty like to shoot landscape with it as if the light condition are good with the HDR function on this device still can shoot pretty decent photos.Inspiration
I describe myself as an amateur snapshot photographer. I don't like big preparation to shoot the scene and usually don't take many capture from the same object. At this time when I saw the scenario I decided to take the picture with my old phone camera. I took only two tries to capture this scene and the second shoot became perfect for me. I always loved to take landscape photos but this one is more vivid for me with all the people enjoying the late swimming in the lake with this beautiful scenario.Editing
I did some basic post-processing. I raised the level of the contrast to get more dramatic looks and deeper-richer colours. In my camera bag
I usually go around with my Pentax K-30 DSLR camera and using mostly my Tamron 18-200 mm travel objective. I do have a Sigma 70-300mm and a prime 50 mm lens too also a non compatible 35mm prime which sometimes got handy for free-lensing. Also I often use my prime mobile phone camera which is a Sony Xperia Z3 compact with a 21MP F2.2 lens and my old HTC One S which was described already.Feedback
To capture great moments don't afraid to try. As with this picture was perfectly shown you don't need expensive gear to take something amazing. You just need to walk with open eyes and mind and get the opportunity. The greatest capture always made by a talented mind rather the most expensive camera.
