I took this picture while on a trip to Canada. I went running in the morning and came across a very beautiful lake and quickly took a picture.Time
I took this right when the sun came up. The sun's rays just barely hit the tips of the mountains which were reflected in the blue water. It was around 6 in the morning when I came running up the hill to this beautiful sight. I am so glad I went running that day.Lighting
I wanted to take this photo right when the sun hit the mountains. The sun gives more depth and meaning to the picture. In addition, it wasn't too dark or too bright at that time.Equipment
All I brought to my trip was my Olympus E-PL-1 and my phone. I decided to use my Olympus because I wanted to focus on the trees up close and the mountains in the back.Inspiration
I was on a run and was out of breath when I took this picture. At first, I was going to skip the lake and continue my run. After a while, the view was too beautiful for me and I headed back just in time for the sun to rise. I was so happy that I got such a beautiful shot and to not have regretted skipping the lake.Editing
Personally, I do not use any post-processing. I wish to show everyone the beautiful sights I see exactly the way they are. I take many versions of a scene and choose the best one later on without changing anything. In my camera bag
Most of the time all I have is my phone. My phone has a really nice camera and I've gotten pretty good at taking photos with it. I do not like to carry around a heavy camera. I also carry around a flashlight that substitutes as a portable battery. I use it when taking pictures at night and to charge my phone when the battery runs out.Feedback
Take as many pictures as you can. It is unlikely that your first picture will be your best. Take many pictures while you have the chance. Later, look through all the pictures on a bigger screen. when you find the right picture, you will know.
