My little Buddy boy is a tea cup yorkie he loves his photo being taken, hesa right little poser and so calm in front of the camera, hes five years old and full of life and wind, he looks like hes smiling all the time with his fur markings,

Lovely capture it really makes you want to give him a cuddle loving the "Urban Pup" on his bandana - Its a very pleasing photo with no distraction around the main subject and you have captured the catch light in his eyes well done

Behind The Lens

Location

In my home studio, I had it set up to take photos of some of the wife's knitting that she had done to advertise it, and my two yorkies was mooching, so they ended up in front of the camera.

Time

I cant remember what time of day it was, most probably after midday.

Lighting

No nothing really, I have a standard set of lights from neewer, 5600lm bulbs and two stands with reflective brolly's, the back drop was a doubled over piece of black bed sheet material.

Equipment

This was taken with Fujifilm HS30EXR, hand held, I dont always like to use a tripod in the studio, I prefer to be able to turn and move better without it. unless I'm doing extreme close still life photos.

Inspiration

It was spur of the moment as my two dogs was hanging around at the back of the camera, and the inevitable happens, they end up in front of it whether they want to or not lol, they dont mind as long as they get treats after........

Editing

Nothing really, maybe a little contrast adjustment. it was so long ago I cant rightfully remember.

In my camera bag

That changes from week to week. At the moment its got two cameras in it, my trusty Fujifilm HS30EXR, my Canon 450eos two lenses for my Canon, a 18/55mm zoom lens, and a 55/250mm zoom lens I also have a power drive for this camera. I also have the usual cleaning cloth's and brushes, batteries for both cameras and for the two on camera flashes. A recent purchase is the Neutral density filters that i have purchased, four filters, an ND4, ND6, ND8, ND16. I have had a go with these, with some success, I was photographing wind going thru the trees in my garden.

Feedback

If the pet isnt yours make friends with it spend time playing with it learn what words make the dog prick its ears up, talk with the dogs slave as to what treats they like. My two yorkies have a natural talent for posing, when they are in the mood, if you are working with animals outside have plenty of water for them and try and do it before it gets to warm, for them in Summer. The shadows tend to be to sharp and dark, sunset is a good time as the light is more golden. If your planning on doing photos in the snow, just remember dogs feel the cold to.
