Behind The Lens

Location

Opposite my home standing in a grass field. I can see the sky from home. If it looks good I grab my camera and head out.

Time

This was taken at around 6am. It was a cold frosty morning. I remember thinking as I left home I wanted to get the sun behind my favourite tree.

Lighting

It was a clear sky frosty morning. I had to be careful not to get too much refraction from the bright sun.

Equipment

I just used my camera a Nikon Coolpix B500. I had no tripod so this was a handheld photo.

Inspiration

My favourite tree I have took many photos of this tree. I wanted to catch the sun behind it. While the branch's were leaf free.

Editing

I increased the shadows and clarity. Also increased the sharpness slightly. No colour changes were needed.

In my camera bag

Spare battery especially in the winter as cold drains the battery quickly. Spare memory card and cleaning cloth.

Feedback

Always view from a different angle to give your self a different perspective. Before you take the photo.
