This was shot quite a long time ago. The details are vague. This is one of my favorite models to work with and I have done several other shoots of her since then.Equipment
I shot it with a 5d mark iii, grip, bowens 450 monolights and maxie refelctors and Im sure a long softbox lit her from above.Inspiration
I love to shoot bellet dancers and anything high speed. Ballet dancers are photo Nirvana for me. There's no faking it believe it or not I've had a model try to fake it. The grace and the unique way that ballet dancers move is undeniable and this dancer has been dancing for 25 years and she is amazing.Editing
photoshop was used but again it was such a long time ago I really cannot recall any of the process.In my camera bag
IHOP my camera with me all the time I actually carry another camera as well called a Lytro illum which is so much fun and it allows you to focus after the shot is made. I only shoot my portraits with prime lenses an 85 millimeter a 50 millimeter and 50 pancake. I try to always have a reflector because you never know when you will need it.Feedback
