The photo was taken in Khobar corniche. Every week end we have photowalk with my friends around Khobar corniche. Experience is the best teacher I can say.Time
Me & my friends have small photography group hear in Khobar we called CornichGrapher group. Every week end we have schedule of morning shoot around 5 am after sunset we continue our activities some like macro and some of us birding photography. This photo I took around 8:00 am.Lighting
When I was taking birds photo first considered that the light is coming from behind to have a catchlight in birds eye its add beauty.Equipment
This was shoot on a Canon EOS 7D with a 70-200mm f/4L USM + 1.4x. The exposure 1/2000 sec at f/9.0, ISO 800.Inspiration
What I love in this photo is the bokeh in both side and the sharpness of the bird. It happen while I took this photo I'm in the elevated area and the grass beside me gives boked and the background of the bird.Editing
I always shoot in RAW it gives me a highest quality files and a wide option to post-processing. All of my photo I post-processing using Lightroom. For me bird photography required minimal photo post processing. Most of the time I correct only the exposure and adding sharpness. But Landscape photography require more post processing. First using Lightroom then bring to Photoshop and sometime using topaz plug.In my camera bag
Every time we have morning shoot I prepare my Canon EOS 550D with EF 17-40mm f/4L USM for landscaping and Canon EOS 7D + 70-200mm f/4L USM + 1.4x for birding. But I like my EF80mm f/1.8 USM for portrait it gives more bokeh.Feedback
Bird photography required zoom lens and to get beautiful sharp photo required you to get closer to the subject, however I have only available 70-200 + 1.4x extender, what I can say this is enough for me to get good photo like this. Most of the time needs you to have more patience for waiting in the subject & just to be closer to it.
