Behind The Lens

Location

This is one of my favorite photos and was taken in one of my favorite thinking spots in Key West at the Key West Butterfly Santuary otherwise known to locals as the attitude adjustment.

Time

It was taken mid day which is why I was able to catch this beauty. She had just eaten and they tend to slow after :)

Lighting

The light was diffused by the canopy above making it look more like morning softening the sun.

Equipment

Cannon T3i With a zoom lense

Inspiration

I love their color and the challenge to photograph them. They have a such a short life span it is hard not to love them for their short years and their fragility.

Editing

Nope I didn't want to stray too much from the original color palate

In my camera bag

Camera, batteries, short lense and an extended, chap stick, business cards, and a power bar incase I get too distracted and forgetto eat lol

Feedback

Be patient sometimes rapid screen shots are better than single shot. Butterflies are frustrating so when shooting them try to block out time to chill where u are shooting. The more relaxed they are the more possibility they will sense this and get closer.
