This one is one of my favorites, and was taken while my husband and I were out on day trip from our temporary base camp in Campbell River on Vancouver Island, BC. Canada. In the background is Muchalat Bay, which is ~55km inland of the West Coast of the island, along Muchalat Inlet from Nootka Sound. This is the site of an old lumber mill, and still serves as a staging area for log exports, fishing, a ferry, seasonal tourism and sporting activities, so there are all kinds of discarded items and structures that, along with the breathtaking scenery, make for very pleasing compositions. This place gained a bit of notoriety back in 2004 due to the Luna Incident (Google it!).
