Behind The Lens

Location

Sabi Sabi Kruger National Park, South Africa.

Time

This shot was taken late afternoon.

Lighting

I love taking photos with natural light. Dusk & Dawn are my favorite, but happy to utilize the light anytime of the day.

Equipment

Nikon D610 with a Sigma 150-600 Lens free holding at the back of a bouncy Jeep. So very lucky to get the clear shot.

Inspiration

I was trying all day to get a great shot of Zebra when our Jeep turned a corner and startled a group that ran off. I loved the wild look of these beautiful animal running off into the bush.

Editing

I used Lightroom to adjust the exposure and a little cropping.

In my camera bag

My Kit changes depending on location. I start with my base Nikon D610 with a Wide angle lens then add either lens for long range or portrait.

Feedback

Kruger National park is my favorite place for wildlife photography. The advantage to me was in using a tracker to find particular animals.
