The photo was taken in the evening after supper. We went for a walk to the beach and my boys were playing in the water.Lighting
I loved how the sun was starting to go down and created a nice silhouette of my youngest son who was sitting and playing in the water.Equipment
This photo was shot using my iPhone 5, which I had handy with me. I got down low and made sure my flash was off. I sat down and crouched low to get this angle as I wanted to get this perspective.Inspiration
I love capturing candid moments of my kids and this is a perfect example. I also love the water and taking nature photos, so this was a great way to merge the two.Editing

Usually in my photo bag I carry my Sony alpha200, with a 50mm f/1.8 lens. I also carry the kit lens (18-70mm) but I don't use it often.Feedback
Always be ready to take the shot, and don't be afraid to get down low especially when photographing kids. For this particular shot I made sure that the sun was behind my subject and the photo was not overexposed to get that nice silhouette feel.
