This photo was taken while aboard for the classic fall watching tour from the Canadian perspective. The boat was stuffed with a crowd of people like me all taking pictures. Really funny.Time
The phot was taken in July, 2006 aoround noon. Just to say that this is the classical "not prepared" shot, however I still like to think it was not a matter of mere chance and good luck. The image is at it was originally, I just cropped a bit the bottom. As I said, a long history of analogic photography, had taught to me to try to have a decent frame composition in the viewfinder and I still continue to prefer the viewfinder. A good start always helps.Lighting
Managing light here was indeed very difficult because of the huge light reflection from the water and the scarce tone separation between water and clouds. This was shot with an Olympus Digital camera SP560UZEquipment
This was shot with an Olympus Digital camera SP560UZ set on automatic mode. No more than this.Inspiration
Just seize the moment, but still it is such a thrilling natural performance and I tried to bring this deep emotion with me at home.Editing
As I said a bit of cropping and I tried to adjust for the excess of high lights. In my camera bag
I have a very basic equipment, so I always bring with me the whole bunch: Nikon D5000, Nikkor 18/55; Nikkor 55/300; remote control; tripod and.... spare memory cards and power sources!Feedback
In this particular instance, what I can advice is to bring a camera with you always. Who knows where, when and why your next impressive shoot will come from?
