Location
Manhattan, New York, United States. It's the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir ( better know as the Central Park Reservoir ) in Central Park.Time
Its early evening, before sunset in early January.Lighting
It was right before sunset. The sky was this amazing orange, pink colour & the white clouds stretches out among the sky.Equipment
No equipment. Took out of my camera & started shooting.Inspiration
This was an expected night off actually so why not go into the city & explore. I moved to Queens last year for work. I have a high paced, high stress job so to do something like photography, as an outlet, but mostly for fun is brilliant because there are no rules! I walked from one side of the park to another " checking out the sites " from Observatory Gardens to " The Meadows " to Wollman Rink to Grand Plaza, Strawberry Fields to The Castle, to the angels that guard the entrance at Columbus Circle. Getting "creeped out" by the bronze child statues but that's only because it reminded me of an old movie called " The Haunting", (1999) staring Liam Neeson, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Owen Wilson, Lili Taylor plus many others. If you've seen it, you get it. If not, watch it!Editing
No. I don't edit any of my photos. In my camera bag
Depends on what I am doing or where I am going. Usually have at least 2 cameras ( some film, some digital ), as I have quite a few... as it keeps the options open. A few memory cards, a lot of batteries, a lens cleaner ( nothing special ) & a spare lens ( the fisheye ), a charger. Its not a lot because less is more.Feedback
Forget about " perfect timing " because there is no such thing. If you are waiting for something to happen, it won't, because the world never stops. And who knows, maybe things could turn out better then expected. Experiment, color outside the lines & most importantly, have fun! Take as many photos as possible, different angles, filters, lenses, camera settings & subjects because you never know what will happen next! It could just be something amazing! At the end of the day, no matter what, the world is filled with endless possibilities and that is a beautiful thing! Also read as much as you can, especially the manuals that come with your gear. It may seem boring but there is so much useful information, tools, tips, etc that you never knew about.
