Location
This photo was taken in Monterrey, Mexico. This place is an oasis in the middle of the city surrounded by tall buildings.Time
I remember it was one of those December days. The sun still sheltered us with its light but the cold was coming. It was a beautiful afternoon around 5 pm, there was enough light to illuminate the background but for the model I decided to use a speedlite.Lighting
There was very nice natural light, but the sun was already hiding, so use a speedlite flash over tripod to illuminate the model.Equipment
Canon 60D on hands with Canon 24-105mm f4 lens, the flash was on the tripod.Inspiration
When you wait for someone and the wait is long, you usually sit in a chair or armchair. We went to a park to do a photo shoot to a dancer who was waiting for her baby. Suddenly a nice wooden bench appeared. The light and the colors transmitted peace, so I immediately decided to use it. The dancers always take care of their weight and lines, so the model insisted on wearing black clothes to look thinner. I was not against, on the contrary, I found it nice to use it as a black swan outfit and that's where the story came from ...Editing
I always use Lightroom for color corrections only.In my camera bag
Several memory cards for replacement, 2 extra batteries, filters, some brushes to clean lens, 3 different lenses, speedlite flash with batteries and extra batteries, gaffer tape, lighter, multi tool, wipes, remote controller, flash transceiver, a cape for a rain, and more...Feedback
The photographer should look at the light, the colors should be very attentive to the background. Keep in mind that nothing in the background can ruin your work. Must be communicative with their models and treat them with respect and transmit security. Even if you make a mistake, never show it to the model. To create a beautiful job, you must listen to your worries, never be prepotent.
