Behind The Lens

Location

This one was taken at the famous train station in Malmö, Sweden a few years ago.

Time

It was mid day if I remember correctly, always time consuming to take these kind of shots since I wanted it to be empty and although its easy enough to shot severel shots and get rid of people in photoshop its more of a sport to get the scene in one shot. Although this was actually a panorama if I remember correctly.

Lighting

A cloudy day was perfect to this scene.

Equipment

Canon EOS 5D Mark 3 and a 16-35mm lens.

Inspiration

Seen this station for several years and was one of the first places i visited when I went to Malmö for a architectural phototrip.

Editing

It was like five shots merged in photoshop as a panorama. Bit of cloning and warping to get it right.

In my camera bag

Always bring my 24-70, 16-35 and 70-200mm when out shoting architecture. For portraits I prefer my 50mm 1.4 all from Canon.

Feedback

Nah just shoot shoot shoot. Try different angels but most of all get out and practise, look at other peoples work, try and see what you like with the shot. Look up places/builings to shoot that catches your eye.
