Cranes migrate over large distance. With their long legs, slender necks and a wingspan over 2 m, thousands of them make a stunning sight. As they migrate to Africa, tens of thousands stay and winter in the Hula Valley which borders Lebanon to the West and Syria to the East. The area connects three continents on a migratory route and it is considered a Mecca both for birds and birdwatchers who make a pilgrimage to experience this vivid event.
