Location
This photo is taken by the river that runs through the grounds of Chatsworth House in DerbyshireTime
It would have been early afternoon on a lazy Winter weekend.Lighting
It was a really damp, grey Winter's day. The light barely changed and there were no shadows to speak of, which left me free to just look for interesting shapes.Equipment
It was shot using a Canon EOS 1200D (Rebel T5) with a Canon 50mm f/1.8 lensInspiration
We were walking along the river and the composition with the tree stumps in front of the tree caught my eye. As we were with the dogs I had very little time to quickly capture the image, and with a fixed lens I had to walk around to find the right shot.Editing
I changed the contrast and clarity settings to bring out the shapes moreIn my camera bag
I usually just have my camera, a single lens and maybe a couple of filters. My current favourite lens is a Tamron 18-270 but I love the quality from my little nifty fifty too.Feedback
It's all about keeping your eyes open when you're out and about. Take lots of photos from different angles to find the best composition.
