Behind The Lens

Location

Im currently studying photography and I took this image while I was on a field trip with my class. I took it when we stopped during our travels.

Time

I took the photo in the early afternoon when the weather was quite nice and sunny.

Lighting

It was a sunny day with clear blue skies which I think looked effective behind the bridge.

Equipment

I use a Canon 1200D and for this shot I used a 50mm 1.4 lens to capture the extreme shallow depth of field .

Inspiration

At the time I had just bought my 50mm 1.4 lens and was really enjoying playing around with the shallow depth of field aspect!

Editing

For this particular image all I did in terms of post production was alter the brightness/contrast on photoshop.

In my camera bag

Canon 1200D camera, 50mm 1.4 lens, 10-18mm wide angle lens.

Feedback

Would highly recommend a 50mm 1.4 lens, they are great! Also try different perspectives of what your photographing, it can lead to really effective and interesting outcomes!
