Behind The Lens

Location

It was a rainy day at my home in Ontario, Canada. My Grandfather had left me a wooden chess set when he had passed away. He was a soldier in the British Army and chess has always reminded me of him, we used to play every day. Chess is the art of war. The king stands the tallest.

Time

It was a gloomy afternoon.

Lighting

Indirect lighting such as windows are perfect for this kind of photo.

Equipment

To take this photo I used my 50mm Nikon lens. I own a Nikon D3200

Inspiration

My Grandfather was a huge inspiration in my life and he loved the game of chess.

Editing

I didn't need to do much to edit this photo. It amazed me how well it looked in Black and White so I decided to keep it that way.

In my camera bag

My camera bag always has my 3 lenses: 55-200mm , 18-55mm and my 50mm lens, along with my Nikon D3200

Feedback

Take your time trying to capture something inspiring. Nothing good has ever come from being rushed.
