Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Puebla's Cathedral in Mexico.

Time

It was at noon more or less.

Lighting

It was all natural light.

Equipment

It was shot with a Sony Alpha 900, no tripod, no flash and the lens was a 24-70 mm Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T*.

Inspiration

There are several wonderful churches all around Mexico, I have captured several shots from some of them and tried to isolate some of their wonderful details.

Editing

I have done some post-processing to adjust some lightning parameters and after that I made some manual color selection to make a mask to enhance some details.

In my camera bag

I have a Sony Alpha 900 with 3 lenses: 24-70 mm Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T*, 70-400 mm Sony and, 50 mm Macro Sony.

Feedback

As I try to capture as much details as possible, I try to use the smaller aperture as possible, however, since I rarely use a tripod I have to play with the lowest ISO, aperture and speed I can manually hold.
