Nature is more bizarre than i can even imagine... I realized this when chasing the blue fire in the crater of an active Kawah Ijen Volcano. Ijen volcano has wowed lots of people with its unique natural phenomena (the blue glow is actually the light from burning of sulphuric gases which emerge from cracks in the volcano at high pressure and temperature up to 600°C. When they come in contact with the air, they ignite, and sending flames up to 5 meters high). Don't resist the temptation of going down the crater at night (the blue fire can be often seen in the middle of the night) even though the track is very steep and slippery and it is approximately 40 minutes walk in the daytime, and hiking at night in the dark with the only light from your headlights takes more energy, but its all worth it!
