Behind The Lens

Location

Im in the Pacific North West, and every February there is a festival called the Tulip Festival. This is where the picture is taken, granted its not a tulip but there are other flowers there.

Time

This was taken mid day at the end of winter for Washington. This flower was under trees, so the sun only came into certain areas.

Lighting

Im fairly new to photography still, and i still have not gotten a flash. I am still getting the hang of using natural lighting Vs. a flash.

Equipment

This photo was shot on my red Nikon D5300 (because the red is so majestic) with a 55-300mm lens.

Inspiration

I was there doing a photo shoot with a close friends and coworker, and was browsing around looking at all the different flowers. The way the light hit in the right areas and the colors of this flower are amazing!

Editing

I did some editing, but not much. Mainly making the color pop a little more, and a little bit more light.

In my camera bag

I typically don't carry much, if i go out i take my wide angle 11-16 and my 55-300 lens.

Feedback

Keeps your eyes open, and natural lighting is always better in my opinion.
