Location
This photo was taken at the Eagle River Nature Center here in Alaska. The ERNC is a wonderful place to drive out too, they have well traveled trails, bridges, walkways that go out over the water to watch local wildlife, Salmon, Moose, Bear, etc. Short drive from the town of Eagle River that is a short drive from Anchorage. Fantasatic scenery at all hours of the day. ERNC is always hosting some type of educational event that is open to the public. This particular photo I took was just off the trail, not more than a 5-10 minute walk from the nature center itself.Time
The photo was taken early afternoon, as winter time in AK the hours of daylight are short and with this valley it gets dark.. really dark. great place to view the stars and occasionally they Aurora.Lighting
Using bracketed exposure and layering the three different exposed images, I was able to pull this off without any artificial lighting.Equipment
This particular photo was taken using a DJI OSMO, three braketed photos layered turning it into an HDR image.Inspiration
This is one of my favorite local places to go all year long. Great scenery and always a chance to see a variety of wildlife.Editing
All this was processed on my iPhone using the DJI app that comes with the DJI OSMO.In my camera bag
Canon 5D MKII with a variety of lenses. Quick trips I have the OSMO in the glovebox of my vehicle for those spur of the moment excursions.Feedback
Definitley dont be afraid to let the creativity out, try different technics, just play and have fun with whatever you have on hand to capture the moment.
