Trexler Game Preserve in the Lehigh Valley was dedicated by General Trexler in the early 1900s as a 1,000 acre refuge for the Buffalo and Elk. He had a ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and wanted to save the devastated Buffalo herds and felt the best way was to bring some back to Pennsylvania to his preserve he formed out of 36 farms. Thanks to him we can enjoy elk and buffalo today.
