This photo was taken at my house, in Portugal. I´m a self-made photography curious since I was about 15 years old. I take pictures of what caughts my attention... Yes, I like to test...Time
It was taken in the afternoon, in the Winter. But I´ve been kind of hipnotized by this handmade boat for a while.Lighting
This was taken in the Winter, so the light was very grey, ´cause Portugal has a rough Winter. But I do like B&W a lot, so it only helped me.Equipment
I used my Nikon Coolpix - basic for beginners - only 12.0 Megapixels, 4x Zoom and 2.7inches LCD.Inspiration
For almost 30 years my family vacations were at Algarve (South of Portugal) - in a fishermen´s village. I was born near the Port of Leixões - near Oporto - 5m to the beach and the Atlantic Ocean. My grandfather was a sailor and worked in the sea. So, I do need sea and sand and images to eternize...Editing
I don´t remember, but probably just tunned up the contrast of B&W.In my camera bag

I do read every advice I can get about this pleasure of taking pictures. However I do believe that the most important thing is for us NOT to be afraid of being ridiculous... Don´t be afraid to photograph things/situations that no one else does. Trust your instinct - even if someone behind you is saying "Are you really gonna take that pic? What´s the point? Bla bla bla" If YOU see something awesome in your eyes - capture it in your lens and do the best for it... The rest is up to the viewers.
