Lappet-faced vultures are currently listed as a 'vulnerable' species. I took this photograph at a buffalo kill in the Kruger National Park, and was in awe when these two vultures landed and asserted such hierarchal dominance over the two other vulture species that were present. I love the look of pure intensity in the eyes of these vultures, they look almost regal. This photograph was the favourite of my whole trip in the Kruger.
