This photo is amazing. Love the coloring of the snow with his coloring. Such a beautiful dog.

Thank you very much! He was 4 months old here! He's now almost a year and about 110lbs all muscle. I love him. He keeps the 3 ladies in line too!

Behind The Lens

Location

I was lucky enough to be able to catch my pup playing in my backyard in the freshly fallen snow.

Time

I had just finished clearing my driveway of the 14 inches of snow around 3 pm in the afternoon.

Lighting

Honestly nothing about lighting came to mind as it was still cloudy and he was dancing around so much. Did not have the time to think and if I did I probably would have found away to mess it up.

Equipment

I was using my Nikon D3300 with no flash and the kit lens.

Inspiration

Just watching him frolic in the snow was so darn funny, but when I slowed down and so how his coat was such a strong contrast against the snow, just had to capture what I could.

Editing

I did very little post editing on this one, in a recent editing session I cropped out most of the right side and placed him more centered.

In my camera bag

I always have by my side my Nikon and a super wide angle lens and a 50mm.

Feedback

Adice on how to capture something like this.. Hhhmmm just be lucky and keep your eyes open!
