I was sightseeing and exploring around the city of Wroclaw, Poland around 18:00pm during the summer of 2015 when I came across this lovely looking old building with vines growing all over it. I thought it looked amazing and had no idea that I had stumbled across The National Museum a building that was established in 1947. It is one of Poland's main branches of the National Museum system and holds one of the largest collections of contemporary art in the country. Wow!!!Lighting
I used the natural light with no special settings, I just used the natural late afternoon summer sunlight to capture this image.Equipment
I used my Sony HX60V Cyber shot with a 3.5f on an upwards panoramic setting, no flash, no tripod just all handheld using my knowledge of taking an image.Inspiration
Just the fact that the whole building was naturally glowing in the afternoon sunlight. It looked amazing standing there across from it with the vines sprawling all over the old architecture, definitely a no brainer to capture this moment with the natural lighting.Editing
None at all this image is completely untouched and natural. In my camera bag
I only have my Sony HX60V at this stage as I just cannot afford to purchase another quality DSLR as mine got stolen.Feedback
As with this image I had to wait for at least 25 mins to get the perfect picture with no people or traffic. Being late afternoon there was quiet a few people and cars travelling back and fourth on this busy street, so to capture this image with nothing in the way was special for me. It's all about the patience if you want a good photo you sometimes have to wait for as long as it takes until your satisfied with the results. Another thing to keep in mind is the lighting and time of day if you can capture an image with flash and use the natural lighting do it. To me photography is not about what equipment your using but having the mind, the eye for the composition and the imagination for what image your trying to capture.
