Behind The Lens

Location

This picture was taken in Lanzarote, at an amazing park, this gorgeous white tiger followed me for ages actually think it was feeling hungry!

Time

I took this photo just around lunch time, was a stunning 30 degrees and barely a cloud in the sky!

Lighting

All natural light, a nice bright high sun gave me a great opportunity to capture this stunning animal

Equipment

As it was just at a safari style park I just took my basic kit, a canon 70d with a 18-55mm canon is lens.

Inspiration

I think the picture speaks for itself, a magnificent animal inches from me only thing stopping me from getting closer was its enclosure with a very thick pain of glass!

Editing

I just framed it a little better in Lightroom, with very basic light adjustment the photo came out very nice as it was

In my camera bag

My usual camera bag has my Canon 70d with 18-55 55-250 and 40mm prime lens, also always carry my canon speedlite, spare battery, a range of filters including an adjustable ND, and if I'm out on a shoot I generally have my MacBook Pro retina as well, so if I have a few minutes while grabbing a hot chocolate or something I feel its a little bonus to back up the photos just incase something happens!

Feedback

Go with the flow, these kind of shots you can't plan for, but during the day I found a nice setting for the light that was around and just focused more on relaxing and enjoying the day
