This is the San Marcos Pass bridge from below. It now has a fence all along the railings so people cannot jump. Before the fence there were many jumpers who wanted to commit suicide. Sad with so much beauty around.

fab bridge glad they put up a fence. it is not the jumpers but some1 has to come along and pick up the mess, namely the fire department and that was you my friend. glad they put a stop to it. love this shot shame you could not take out the cable on right had side going up into the sky, it would be even better then mate.

Awesome setting, sad history, unfortunately suicide is a huge issue leaving the family wondering why and if they could have done something to prevent the tragedy. Agree with Steve that the wire on right could be removed to make an even better image. :)

This looks very much like the New River Gorge Bridge in West Virginia. Come October, the bridge is pretty much closed down to one lane, and we have parachuters jump from the bridge and land below! In the rocky river! Sad that so many have committed suicide from this bridge. Guess there wouldn't be any half way measures. So why are we having so many suicides? Apparently we have a serious problem to deal with...before they jump...Others commented on the wire, but I think the road "angle" might have been improved upon...since I have never been there, I can't say that you might have had a better angle from a little further up the road to lead into the bridge...I find my eye jumping back and forth from bridge to road and back. My 2 cents or less, lol
