This photo was taken at Lake Isabelle in the Indian Peaks Wilderness in Colorado. The peak in the front left is Shoshone Peak just under 13,000'. The are 2 peaks Apache and Navajo shrouded by clouds in the back both are over 13,000'Time
My daughter and I hiked about 3 miles from the Long Lake trailhead to here. The day was mostly cloudy with some drizzle, some snow and frozen round stuff called grapple. Time was late morning early afternoonLighting

I just spend a lot of time in the mountains and take a lot of pictures. I try to use natural features such as landscape and trees and such to either frame a subject or in the front to provide perspective. In this case nature did all the work and I just pushed the button. It was one of the few times when an image actually comes close to the real view.
