This photo was taken at Rietvlei Nature Reserve in PretoriaTime
I took this photo when I could have still been in my warm bed. It was taken at around 06h30 from a hide overlooking the misty water with horrible lighting. It is my all time favorite photo.Lighting
The minimalist quality of the low light and fog covered banks made this photo what it is today. Just because the light is poor or the visibility is low, it doesn't mean you can't impact someone with the photoEquipment
Canon 600D(I am a Canon freak) with a 70-250mm lens and a tripodInspiration
As matter of fact, my mother did. I am always in awe of the masterpieces she creates with her camera and that day I had the opportunity to sit next to her in that hide. The birds started to awake in the trees and it was just fascinating.Editing
Indeed, yet it was minimal. I played with the white balance and the curves then added some sephia. Cleaned a few spots and Bob's you uncleIn my camera bag
That's easy. My Canon 600D, 50mm lens and 70-250mm lens. A lens cleaner and the battery. What more does one needFeedback
