Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in a old ghost town called Bodie. It was a old mining town and died in the thirties. It is now operated by the state of California. The town is just north on Hwy. 395 north of Mammoth Lakes.

Time

This photo was taken on Memorial Day weekend in 2015, time of day was around noon. As you can see the weather was stormy and cold.

Lighting

All done in open shade.

Equipment

I used a Nikon D7000 with a Tamron 18-55 F2.8. No flash or tripod.

Inspiration

I have always wanted to go up to Bodie and take pictures of this old historic town, it makes for great photography.

Editing

Yes, I worked this photo in Photoshop.

In my camera bag

My Nikon D2000 my Tamron lenses and my Panasonic DMC LF1 and my Sony Alpha A 5000. Extra filters.

Feedback

Just go out and see what you can find to shoot. Find a old town near you, a old house with old cars laying around. I prefer clouds in my photos, so try to shoot after a storm or when you have the summer clouds. Just go out and shoot.
