Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture at my local zoo in Tucson, AZ. The Reid Park Zoo.

Time

This was taken in the early afternoon around 1200pm.

Lighting

I use mainly natural lighting as the birds are outside.

Equipment

For this photograph I was using a Nikon D5100. Along with that I used a Nikon Nikko 55-200mm lense.

Inspiration

I have always been interested in capturing wildlife in their natural habitat as well as zoos. You never realized how beautiful nature can be until you capture it in a photograph.

Editing

This photograph as with most of my pictures have no post-processing applied to them. I try to ensure my settings are correct for the location I'm shooting in to prevent any editing if at all possible.

In my camera bag

I keep my Nikon D5100 with both Nikkor 18-55mm & 55-200mm, wireless trigger remote, additional memory cards. I also keep a set of macro lenses and an off camera flash.

Feedback

The best advice I could give is to have fun with your photography. Every picture you take is preserving something in time. Make it your own creative memory and don't be afraid to experiment. Most of all... practice, practice, practice.
