Behind The Lens

Location

This photograph was taken at the Reid Park Zoo in my hometown of Tucson, AZ.

Time

Early morning.

Lighting

This was an outdoor photo so all natural lighting was used.

Equipment

Sony A300 with a Quantum telephoto lens.

Inspiration

I would take my daughter to the zoo every week and loved photographing the animals.

Editing

The only editing done to this photograph was making it monochrome from it's original color version.

In my camera bag

Nikon D5100 and a couple of standard kit lenses as well as a set of macro lenses and filters. Also, i carry and additional off camera flash.

Feedback

I've always said, photography takes practice and a passion for it. Technology changes constantly so as a photographer, we should be constantly continue learning new techniques and practicing old ones. To stick with photography for any extended period of time, you have to have a passion for it. That passion will be clear for others to see in your work.
