Beautiful pose and your choice of lighting adds mystery and importance to the image. Nice job.

Behind The Lens

Location

I live in an old Victorian. The attic is filled top to bottom with all the things I'll get around to someday. But right in the center of the room that spans the full length of the house, the sun rises in a soft beautiful haze. This picture of my youngest son was taken there one morning. He's wearing a suit that he purchased and loved to much to wear. He was always saving it for a special occasion. And the tie was one he was excited to find at a thrift store. A fashion stylist, he said it was a classic. This photo was one that made me realize the handsome man he had grown into.

Time

Early morning, sometime around 10 am.

Lighting

The only light on this photo was what was streaming through the window that morning. I try never to use artificial light when taking portraits.

Equipment

I have a Canon T2i.

Inspiration

My son.

Editing

I used just a bit of Photoshoping to darken the shadows just a bit.

In my camera bag

Only an extra card. I can use up a 32 in one shoot.
