Location
I took this photo in DUC Studios in Melbourne. It was a small group photoshoot and I managed to just sneak a shot in while the model was contemplating looking away.Time
It was in the late evening. This was not a problem as the lights were our source of illumination.Lighting
The lighting used was a single tungsten movie light bounced off a projector screen to soften the effect.Equipment
I used a Pentax K3 DSLR. The lens was a $12 Helios 44-2 M42 screw mount with a Pentax K-mount adapter attached.Inspiration
Classical nudes. I wanted a photograph that respectfully portrayed the female form.Editing
The warm colour was a combination of the lens glass and auto white balance. I used the healing brush to remove blemishes. Dodging on some sections of her hair to make it more blonde. Otherwise nothing else.In my camera bag
I have a Pentax K3, fisheye, 31mm f1.8, Helios 44-2 58mm. Pretty minimal at this stage!Feedback
It isn't just about the camera and lens. Remember that your model is a person and they are naked in front of you. Talk to them. Put them at ease. Don't push what they don't want to do. Just then, when they finally relax, you can snap something with real connection in it.
