Location
This picture I made on a spot close to my holiday address. Usually I go to this spot in the evening when the damsels prepare for the night.Time
I've taken this picure at around nine o clock in the evening; just before the sun goes down.Lighting
Most of the times I photograph in the morning or late evening when the light is soft and diffuse.Equipment
Pictue taken with my NIKON D7000, 60mm macro lens, Velbon tripod and IR control EXIF : F5.6 1/125 sec ISO 1000Inspiration
I really like these lovely damselflys but always try to photograph them in different compositionsEditing
I only do some basic changes, like contrast, brightness etc. etc.. and do this in Lightroom. In my camera bag
I only have my camera, my two macro lenses (60 and 105mm), two battery's, IR control and a Velbon tripod.Feedback
Before you take a picture you need to take your time and search for the best light and composition. I use live view to focus on the object and use a IR control to take the picture. Better one good photo than 10 that are just not that good enough.
