This photo was taken out in my backyard.Time
It was mid afternoonLighting
The dogs had been playing in the backyard quite awhile and the sun was finally hidden behind some soft clouds. I took this opportunity to get some action shots of all three dogs. The sun being hidden certainly soften the glare I was experiencing earlier in the day.Equipment
I used my Nikon D 200 that I received as a gift quite a few years ago. I set it on continuous so that I could catch an action shot like this one. I set it for a sunshine day and shot awayInspiration
Sitting out in the backyard, watching my boy Abner and his two new Corgi friends playing in the backyard. Seeing how much fun they were having, I wanted to snap some shots so I would have memories of this day. You see, Abner is a rescue basset hound. When we adopted him [ at the young age of 11 months ], he was afraid of almost everything and everyone, except his shadow and me. For some reason, he loved me right away. So seeing the joy he had when a friend stopped over with her two corgis, made my heart sing a happy melody.Editing
The only thing I did with this photo, was to crop it. I love shooting in raw, because it give me a great opportunity to take a distant photo and bring it up close and personalIn my camera bag
I always carry my Nikon D200 with an AF NIKKOR 28-85mm, 1:3.5-4.5 and an AF NIKKOR 70-210 mm, 1:4-5.6 You just never know when you might want to get further away from a shot or bring a shot closer to you I also carry my Nikon 8008 film camera, since all my lenses fit both cameras. I also carry my point and shoot [so to speak] Canon SX 400is It takes some pawesome pictures.Feedback
for me, because it was my dogs, I have gotten to where I carry a camera with me when every the dogs are outside, set and ready to shoot. you just never know when the opportunity will arise. where they are having fun, being goofy or stunning. I do like to set it for a partial cloudy day and on continuous for those on the spot action shots
