Location
I took this picture in January on Lac Leman, Geneva, Switzerland.Time
The picture was taken in the late afternoon, the weather was not really nice and rather greyish but there was a lot of wind and the birds were soaring around the lake and shores.Lighting
The ambient light was not really nice but for this picture it was a great combination. I used as always a polarising filter and automatic exposure with aperture preselection (A) which I typically use.Equipment
I was using my simplest camera D3100 that day and my D90 but this picture was made with the D3100Inspiration
A friend of mine got a reward for a picture of a brd too, so I decided to take some pictures of birds too.Editing
No post processing done at all, the picture is as it was taken with the camera. I am sure with post-processing I could have improved it but I typically do not use post-processing. The picture should be as good as possible to start with.In my camera bag
Well, D3100, D90, 17 - 35 f2.8; 35 - 70 f2.8; 80 - 200 f2.8Feedback
Well, just keep on trying, it is very difficult to get a picture like this and many times it will fail. The combination of the fixed body and the moving wings is not easy to get... Keep on trying, not all my pictures are great like this....
