Our group of photographers met at Martin's Beach to shoot the seastack and sunset. The weather was foggy, drizzly and windy making it difficult to shoot when your filters and lenses were dripping wet or streaking when you tried to wipe the moisture off. The waves were pounding against the seastack and I set up to have the comp include the keyhole when the most unusual wave hit the seastack (The Perfect Wave). Instead of the wave being thrusted up into the air and forward with the blowing wind it curled backwards almost circling the keyhole and I was at the right place at the right time to get this shot. The weather eventually calmed a bit and we got some sunset colors but then the rising tide forced us to conclude the evening's shoot or be trapped by the high tide.
